Campo Teatro degli Ulivi is the cultural project of the social enterprise “Campo 2016”, created to enhance the medieval village of Campo di Brenzone through a natural theatre set among olive trees. Here, art, music, environmental education and landscape care intertwine in an experience that brings together community, history and nature. Every event is an act of care for the land and its identity.

A green theater overlooking Lake Garda

Open-air stage in the center of the medieval village of Campo di Brenzone, immersed in an olive grove, surrounded by woods of holm oaks and beeches, on the slopes of the Monte Baldo Natural Park. A unique theater erected using materials and construction methods with minimal environmental impact, bringing to life musical, theatrical and artistic shows and exhibitions.

Campo di Brenzone - Ancient medieval settlement

Il Teatro degli Ulivi si inserisce in un contesto unico, il piccolo borgo medievale Campo di Brenzone. Affacciato sulla sponda veneta del lago di Garda, immerso in un bosco di ulivi, lecci e faggi, sulle pendici del Monte Baldo, rappresenta il cuore e la storia della comunità di Brenzone. Per raggiungerlo bisogna percorrere un'antica e ripida mulattiera. Una manciata di vecchi edifici dove il tempo sembra esserci fermato.

ll borgo caratteristico è formato da un raggruppamento di case in pietra, disabitate e raccolte su sé stesse. Sono presenti i resti di palazzo-fortezza coperto dalla vegetazione e la chiesetta del paese intitolata a San Pietro in Vincoli e eretta tra il XII e il XIV secolo. Gli affreschi all'interno, ancora ben conservati, sono riconducibili al maestro Giorgio da Riva, eseguiti nel 1358. L’isolamento e l’abbandono hanno preservato l’originalità di questo luogo, la sua magica essenza.
